I have a Vox V847 (or something like that) Wah. I want to put in one of those fancy switches that makes it true bypass. I would like clarification of which switch I need, and instructions of how to wire it up - please? Thanking you in advance.

Seems to have done. Hard to tell really, because I obviously can't A/B with a non bypassed one, because the only one I have is bypassed. But I had recently added a couple more pedals to my board, and put my Wah at the front of the chain. I did notice that suddenly I seemed to be losing more tone than before (more likely one of the new pedals, I know). But the Wah mod does seem to have made a difference, but it could be my brain making it up. Sometimes I think we hear what we want to hear, especially when we're modding stuff.

Seems to me like the one pedal you'd want to be buffered at all times would be the first one in the chain. Then you might want the pedals that follow to be true-bypass.

But that would require a major re-arrangement of my very crammed board. The 2 pedals immediately after the wah are buffered. Anyway, seems to sound pretty good how it is, maybe a little loss of tone as opposed to going straight into the amp, but you're always going to get that with a number of pedals I guess.

What do you reckon about this? You you think it makes much difference to have a True bypass pedal first if it's followed by two buffered pedals? I could re-arrange it so that the two buffered ones went first. I don't seem to be experiencing any switching pops or anything from my wah.

Could you share with me how you made your wah true bypass? I have the same wah pedal.
Also, what is a buffered pedal? And why should there be a buffered pedal first in your line of pedals?
