Is there a table that shows the fixed frequencies for bass, mid, treble eq for the classic amps like 65 Twin, Vox AC30, Marshall Plexi, etc? In other words the tone stacks are voiced at say -
bass is defaulted to 150 hz mid defaulted to 525hz treble to 1600 hz.
I am assuming that this is the way those amps were "voiced" per the tone controls/fixed frequencies. Pots would emphasize these fixed frequencies - 0=cut, 10=full on. Tell me if I am off base here with my assumption on the classic amps and how they function. Just looking for a table or links to glean this info for the old classics.

Dunno - but if you'd like to explore for yourself, I recommend this freebie: www.duncanamps.com/tsc/It's the 'Tone Stack Calculator', which lets you see the frequency response of most of the main Fender, Vox, Marshall stacks, plus others, as you slide the controls around. cheers John

Hmmm, don't be confused by the equalization frequencies on active tone control circuits. This is the Fender tone stack. It is absolutely nothing more than a passive tone cut "arrangement" (a kind word) that has most things in common and hence, in interaction. When the word "boost" is used in circuits like this, it really means "less cut when compared to other things." There is no real "more taste" here, it's all just "less filling'. These should help to further confuse things. www.duncanamps.com/technical/baxandall.htmlwww.duncanamps.com/technical/tonestack.html
