Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum, but I've already seen in my browsing a very high standard of electronics, musical, and general guitar knowledge, so I figured this is the perfect place to ask for a bit of advice. I have an electronics trade background myself, but it was more to do with data comms, navigation, and weapons systems, and I find myself frequently running short of knowledge when it comes to audio.
Basically, I've recently become the lucky recipient of an Eventide Timefactor delay pedal, and I'm looking for a good expression pedal to use with it. It requires a pedal which is a simple resistive load, with a resistive value between 5k ohms and 20k ohms. Firstly, I was wondering if anyone could recommend one?
My other question is slightly more specific. I've been looking at the Boss FV500L and FV500H. The difference is basically just the impedance which the pedal presents to the input. The L-model is recommended by Eventide for use with the Timefactor, but I'm wondering if when they are connected as expression pedals they would be functionally identical. I'd get the L-model, but all my pedals are true-bypass, so it'd make it difficult for me to use it as a volume pedal if I wanted to.
Thanks heaps guys, -Liam
