HEY THERE NUTS....I THINK I'M GOING NUTS I HAVE SEVERAL BOSS EFFECT PEDALS THAT WHEN LINKED TOGETHER, JUST KEEP FEEDING BACK EVEN AT VERY LOW VOLUMES. IS THERE SOME VARIABLE THAT I'M OVERLOOKING IN MY SET UP ? WHEN I USE ONLY MY BOSS ME5 MULTI EFFECTS UNIT , YOU CAN CRANK IT, AND NO FEED BACK. BUT WHEN I USE ONLY THE INDIVIDUAL PEDALS ..........BANG FEEDBACK. COULD IT BE THE SMALL 6 INCH CABLES CONNECTING EACH ONE WITH THE NEXT ? OR MAYBE THE POWER SUPPLY THAT IS DAISY CHAINING THEM TOGETHER, OR MAYBE A BAD LEAD THATS NOT GROUNDED PROPERLY ?. ARE THE PEDALS TOO CLOSE TO THE MARSHALL AMP ? I'M AT MY WITS END PLEASE HELP

It must be LOUD, you even have to YELL when you type! The answer to all of the above question is yes. Of course, in any of those cases it's not actually feedback but excessive noise. Can you load a short sample of the offending audio sensation to a permanently connected web node and post a link to said file here? Would likely help us identify the issue better than vague and subjective adjectives. In any case, the best way to track the noise down will be to isolate each of the variables mentioned above. Strip down to one pedal at a time. Switch one cable at a time. Put a battery into - and disconnect the PS from - one pedal at a time. Chasing noise can be horribly frustrating, we'll help the best we can.

Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry about the yelling....just a habit having the caps on. Thanks for the advice. I was wondering about maybe picking up a Boss Noise Supressor, or a VooDoo Lab Pedal Power2 power supply, it has eight indiviual outlets, each one isolated from the next....comes with all needed cables. The ad says it will isolate and eliminate all hums and noise from pedals, cables, etc etc.... www.voodoolab.com/pedalpower_2.htmwill definately take your advice and trouble shoot each pedal one at a time. I have to admit I am a Gear Nut.......this could be the perfect excuse to pick up more stuff (boss pedal / pedal power2) Thanks Agian

If you're looking into a noise suppressor pedal, I strongly recommend the ISP Decimator G-string. I'm selling mine because I no longer have noise problems, but when i did, it was easily the best solution. It has two channels (one for the amp input, one for the loop), and both channels tracks your guitar signal to automatically adjust the gate level so that you don't lose signal.
Personally, I think the root of your problem is the common earth that your pedals share when they are daisy chained (ie ground loops), which would be solved by the Pedal {ower's isolated outputs. The T-rex Fuel Tank Junior is a good option, too.
Good luck!
