There was a song from the 1970's that im trying to find out who sang it, and what the name of the song is... It was a woman singing. I even e-mailed 1050 CHUM. An oldies radio station here in Toronto. Nope, they cant help me in my quest. Youre up fellas! ;D Heres the lyrics...as best as I can remember them. Yes, its kinda girly. " A little man was hungry/ but they saw him as a tramp/ with a lovenote in his pocket/ but no money for a stamp/ he just sits there in the doorway/ and he sings his lonely song Chorus He was me/ he was you/ maybe someone that you knew/ there goes everybodys brother/ whats his name/ walk on by/ pay no mind/ these things happen all the time/ but aint it cold enough today/ so let it rain. Thats some of it my brothers. Ring any bells?

deep, Nope, not even any little chimes. If you don't get any satisfaction here, then try this site: www.allthelyrics.com/ Their forums aren't too bad, though some of it was overly simple, IMO. Good luck. sumgai

deep,
A little birdie just whispered in my ear that your mystery song and band might be "He was me, He was you / Child of Mine" by The Bells. They were a Canadian band out of Montreal in the 70's.
Don't ask me, I just listen to what the voices tell me! ;D

I've had some good luck with www.allthelyrics.com for finding songs that were stuck in my head but I couldn't remember where I heard them. There are some other song-finder sites out there, too. I think allthelyrics has some links on their site. Check it out and see if they can help. Carl
