I'm thinking of getting a Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue. It has this famous 'bright cap' in the vibrato channel that sounds very nice clean, but makes OD pedals sound a bit harsh and brittle. A lot of people just clip this cap out, but I reckon it'd be better to install a basic toggle switch, or maybe swap the volume pot for a push pull or something. Would this be as easy as it seems? Here's a picture of where the bright cap is located: img.photobucket.com/albums/v691/grego7/drri_cap10.jpgAnd you can find the schematic here: www.schematicheaven.com/fenderamps/65_deluxe_reverb_manual.pdfThe bright cap is apparently C10. As I say, I don't have the amp yet, and I wouldn't do such a mod until the warrantee expired probably, but it seems really straight forward. I'm not sure exactly how to wir a switch like this though. I'm thinking you would have to take one leg of the cap out of the board and connect the switch between that leg and the other?
