The Schematics subboard is in the process of being tri-sected into 3 special subboards, one for design modules, one for general schematics, and the third for those truly demented, all-inclusive schemes near and dear to so many of our hearts.
The ultimate goal is better organization of this archival material. as well as future posts.
You may notice threads being moved about. I am purposely NOT leaving a "moved" tag behind
Pleas advise me of any problems or concerns.
TIA-
Newey

Just a thought, but maybe they could be labeled by level of difficulty to perform. Something simple, just 4 categories, something like this:
EASY: No special knowledge or holes to drill.
MODERATE: Some electronics knowledge required, but nothing extensive. May or may not require body modification.
DIFFICULT: Electronics knowledge required. Body modifications involded.
CHRISK: Electronics knowledge of the kind kidnapped by the OSS after the war required. Torch, welder, core drill and reactor required.
Just a thought...

ROTFL, etc . . . ;D ;D ;D
But a pretty good idea. Have to think about how to implement it, but thanks for the suggestion!

LOL! I nearly fell out of my chair when I read the CHRISK category. He should be proud.

Hold On!
I created a test thread in E&W.
I linked to said thread in a new thread in E&W.
I moved the test thread to a different category.
When I clicked on the link to the test thread, it went to the "moved" message.
When I deleted the "moved" message, the link was "not found"
For every moved thread that someone has previously linked to in any given post, if that thread is moved, the link will go to the moved message. If that message is deleted, the link in the post will go nowhere.
This will destroy the reference to the thread in the post, and possibly make logical/continuity dead ends.
Links are absolute, and hence broken if the target is moved.

OK, good point, I hadn't realized that would occur. To rectify this, I can more all posts back to the original schematics board. This hould, I would think, restore the link.
We can then proceed either by leaving a moved post message on the original board. or by leaving all as is and sorting only future submissions into the new categories.

OK, moving the posts back doesn't restore the links. Mea Culpa!
So, we have some lost links to the dozen or so posts that I moved to the new categories. Please advise me of any lost links you may encounter. Often, these can be corrected by me.
Thanks for your assistance. Sorry for any inconvenience.
