I like how this pedal will boost my signal going into the amp but one draw back is it adds alot of bass. Is there a mod I can do to take the bass out. Thanks

According to this there's exactly 2 capacitors in this circuit. They're meant to block DC voltage from leaking into or out of the unit, but also control how much low frequency energy passes through. Increasing Decreasing the value of either will decrease bass response. I'm not qualified to suggest a better value than what's already there. Capactitors are cheap though , and add in parallel, so it should be easy enough to experiment. Which cap you choose to change is up to you, I guess. Seems that changing the input cap would allow the transistor a bit more headroom, since it won't have to try to amplify so much bass. Edit - I told you I wasn't qualified.

Thanks. I went to GC and picked up a BBE Grande Boost pedal. It doesn't color the sound or add a lot of bass. I like it alot. The only thing alittle better I liked about the LPB-1 was it must have had alittle more gain than the BBE because I don't get as much overdrive from the amp as I did the LPB-1 when the volume is maxed out, but over all I like the BBE better. Also the BBE is not as noisey at higher settings. maybe I'll see if there is a way to beef up the gain alittle on the BBE and it would be perfect for my needs. Thanks
