Hi.
Years ago I drilled 4 holes in a strat pickguard in an attempt to do the original TOne Monster mod. As it turned out, I never did get to learn how to read schematic diagrams, and so I had to shelve the notion. But I'd love to complete this, rather than throw the pickguard away.
Has anyone made a wiring diagram for this mod?
Pardon me if it is on here somewhere. I did try searching for "Tone Monster" "wiring diagram" and other combination search strings but didn't come up with anything.
Thanks in advance.

Im pretty sure there is no wiring diagram for the original Tone Monster - and I've been here since day1 (hey I see you have been too!). There are several versions of toggle switching however. I had a go at one, which got called the Tonemonster 2. You could take that and cut out the blender and phase switches if you dont want them. guitarnuts2.proboards45.com/index.cgi?board=schem&action=display&thread=3121It was the first scheme I did, but I still think it was a good way to get simple on/off switching for each pup, with consistent series/parallel switching and no quirks or dead spots John ps To delete the blender, just completley remove the dual gang pot and everything connected to it, except for the three blue wires that all get joined together

JohnH,
thanks for your feedback and suggestion. Dunno if I can find a 4DPDT switch locally, but if I do get my hands on one, i will seriously consider your ToneMonster2 mod. Even if it does look quite daunting at the moment!
You mentioned that should I opt not to do the blender, the 3 blue wires go together? Then should I solder them to ground on the vol pot?
Thanks.

If you go to the Tonemonster2 thread - someone else is already talking about doing this - spooky for it to come up twice in one week, after nearly 3 years. Theres laready a schematic there.
Just join all those blue wires to each other at the ends that used to go to the blender. Dont ground them - they are the hot output!
