Again with the Deluxe Reverb Reissue. The jewell light doesn't glow bright and strong consistently. Is seems to be on half power, and sometimes comes on 'full' but fades back again? Could this be symptomatic of a more serious issue with current flow?

My guess? I'd vote for either the lamp bulb is loose in the socket, or else it was bad from the beginning, and took a bit of time for the failure to start showing. Try taking the jewel off and tightening the bulb first. Fender used to use a bayonet style - you pushed it in and twisted a ¼ turn to the right, and it was good. Now, I'm not sure what yours is, I've seen Fender use both the old bayonet style and the newer (for them) threaded style.
As with fuses, if you depend on the lamp bulb for any reason, you should always have a spare. In case you came into the classroom a bit late, I'll tell you my motto when it comes to troubleshooting: Always try replacing the part with a known good one before you go any further. They're as cheap as a fuse, so get one soon. Even if you don't need it now, you'll need it some time down the road.

Hey, my tone starts to get distorted when I turn the amp up loud, should I be worried? I'm just kidding obviously. Darn, now when I have a genuine concern you're all just gonna go...
