I noticed the high command has re-ordered the rankings of the troops. I found the names of the ranks to be highly amusing and very much in keeping with the general irreverent tone of this fine forum.
I was just curious what they all are and where they begin to take effect.
I have it on good authority that Master Diagnostician does not require any great knowledge, so I can continue getting away with showing little forethought or preparation and still get by with offhand, glib answers, lacking any depth or substance...so I'm cool with the changes...

Sinecure is . . . ;D ;D If I disclosed what all the rankings/levels were, that would negate a bit of the fun. I felt that, when RH set up the board, he probably never envisioned that 500 posts would be relatively commonplace among active members over time. His highest category, "God", came in at 500 posts, with no further upward mobility beyond that. So I rejiggered the categories, and expanded them. There are now higher levels to be reached- and some which may never be reached. The new categories have some relation to what we do, and are more or less non-theistic in nature. Some of the categories would, by now, have been hit by staff members, but the staff designation precludes a post-based designation. AFAIK, JohnH has the highest post count among non-staff members, which makes him a "Quantum Mechanic". He also has more stars than the staff get, as it works out. If one were really interested in ascertaining the cut-off levels, one might examine the number of stars as well as the progression of the colors of the stars. There is some order to this mayhem (hint, hint) ;D. My biggest surprise was the lack of comment by most members. I expected a slew of "WTF?" PMs or posts within a day or so of springing the unannounced change. Only gitpeddler and JohnH seemed to notice. At least I haven't heard any negative reactions. I had thought that some Gods might object to being merely mortal once again. At any rate, just having a bit of fun at everyone's expense (except my own) . Sincerely, Your Administrator.
