So all my summer projects have been put on hold. The quad 4 in my Cavalier blew on me and I said, "screw it, im going new" and forked over all my money into a cheap 2009 Cobalt.
as a result, no money to build a guitar, no money to get new speakers for my amp, no money to refret 2 strats.. the list goes on. look like i'll be limping and holding things together with duct tape and good intentions for a while. oh well.

jmartyg- Good to see you back around. It sounds like your gas machine is interfering with your G.A.S. You can always offer advice to others even though your projects are sidelined. That, at least, is free. BTW, in your absence, you've been promoted to "Meter Reader 1st Class".

Hard to find anyone willing to work on those Q4's. Almost as hard as finding quality parts for my VW bus' T4 (type 4) motor

its the damned timeing chain on those things. to take the cam/valve covers off, you need ot take the chain cover off. to get to the chain cover, you need ot take off a motor mount... to get to the motor mount you need a jack or one hell of a good pully system. in other words, to look inside the tihng, you need to take it out.
well, between the fish keeping hobby and work, i have little time. however, i did spend a day and a half shielding a lefty jay turser strat copy and moving the pups form my black one over to it (the neck warped, cant afford to fix it, so itll collect dust till i can pay the shop to heat it to dry it out and reseal the back)
p.s. whats a "Meter Reader 1st Class"?
