Building a new amp amp, 5E3, wondering if i should add some lock washers to the back of the pots and jacks. The kit does not contain them?? are you seasoned amp guys using lock washers as the norm.

ange, I wouldn't put them on the back of a pot or a jack, but I would put them on the threads, the part that stays behind the panel.... Pots definitely, jacks optional. HTH sumgai

Agreed. Put them on the pots, since they are constantly being turned and may (read: probably will) work loose over time.
Jacks - it can't hurt, but doesn't help much either.

If the jack is depending on barrel (sleeve) contact with a plate or chassis, then I'd use one.
