As you know, or will if you haven't yet read the thread on "Image Posting", our board does not host its own images. Images have to be uploaded from a photo-hosting site. Most use Photobucket or ImageShack.
You may notice, browsing about here, that various links and/or images are missing from certain posts. This is what happens when an image is hosted elsewhere, and the hosting service goes bye-bye, or the user's account is altered or closed.
Be aware that Photobucket apparently requires a log in every 90 days to keep one's account active. I don't know if ImageShack has a similar requirement. If you're using these services, please log in periodically so we don't lose content on these pages. Your posts are important to us!
Also, if you are linking to a guitar you saw on EBay or Craigslist, be aware that these links are ephemeral. Better to copy the image to your drive and upload it to photobucket or wherever- otherwise in a couple of weeks no one will know what you were talking about.
Please think about where that image you are posting is coming from, and don't buy into that "Internet is Eternal" thing.
