I like to look for " rescue " guitars at flee markets ! I have hot rodded several Strat clones with great results while honing my chops on guitar setup & repair and also doing fret marker inlays . ( I've become addicted to putting P R S style birds on my guitars 4 so far L O L ) The Strat with humbucker thing has been done . Has any one done the P 90 thing ? I'm thinking of getting a couple 90s from G F and installing them on my latest $10 acquisition , and am curious if any one has done it ? My thought is Ps at bridge & neck and a hot strat pup in the mid . Also how do I upload photos of my abortions er works of art ?

Check here: Image PostingI've contemplated the Strat with P90s idea. Rondo Music imports one for cheap ($120) with N and B P90s. Can't tell you what it would sound like, but P90s in general sound a bit beefier than regular SCs. If you could get a pickguard made with an angled neck pickup, it would look a bit Mosrite-ish. . .

Thanks for the reply . That does look interesting . The pup selector location is strange even for a strat clone . It would be cool to angle the bridge pup ala Moserite

Did anyone else notice? Rune, I don't know what caused you to jump outta the woodwork like that, but I'm gonna find out, then bottle it, and then sprinkle it all over the State of Texas if I have to, 'cause we sure do miss that lightning-illuminated horse around here!! ;D +1 just for giving us all a nice surprise! Folks, make no mistake. Before there were ToneCovers, before there was ToneStone, even before TonePlastic, there was the one-and-only original, and that was Tone Wood. Y'all can thank Runewalker for giving us that now-legendary moniker. sumgai

sigh ... unfortunately, doing so seemed to drain your own karma back to zero. Yup, just like what a plumber knows what runs downhill, that's how my Karma works! ;D You all might as well give it up, you know you ain't gonna win this one. Neither newey nor I can promote anyone to our level, so there's no way you can gang up on me!! (Thankfully, newey's got better things to do than to stand around waiting for bribesofferings on our alter.) You'll just have to figure out some other way to irrigate me. sumgai

You'll just have to figure out some other way to irrigate me. I already did, but you're such a good sport that he ended up being honored in your weekly signature line! ;D D2o

So sorry to have to tell you, there are no blind horses around the NutzHouse!

p.s. In case it's been awhile, D2o used to have a different name, one that you'd recognize. PM him for the details.

p.s. In case it's been awhile, D2o used to have a different name, one that you'd recognize. PM him for the details. Good to see you, Rune! Two hints: one - click on my profile and take away "v2" two - the first time we ever posted to each other, you had planted the following trap to provoke discussion: acoustic guitars are for girls. Cheers, D2o

And electric guitars are to get girls . . . at least, that's why I started playing, back in my hormonal-overload era!
RW- Good to hear from you again!
