Does anyone know of a person or company that will manufacture a chassis for me as per my specs?
Thanks.

Do you mean just the chassis itself, or a chassis with pre-punched holes, etc. just where you want them? I think you'll find that having someone make a one-off is going to be prohibitively expensive. This outfit will do it, but wants a minimum order of 10: Watts Tube Audio(Scroll down and click the "chassis fabrication" link on the left-hand side.) However, they have a whole buch of chassis sizes, so maybe you can find one that'll suit you- minus the holes, that is!

Oh yeah that looks good. Although it's too bad that I'd have to buy 10. How would I punch my own holes then?

Most folks use a holesaw for a power drill or drill press. Of course, measure twice, cut once!

We used to have things called "chassis cutters"....simply two (circular) blocks of tool steel, machined so that the outside diameter of the smaller one fitted (just) inside the diameter of a recess in the larger one.. The two were assembled each side of the said chassis, and then brought together with a single (central) bolt which went through a guide hole one had already drilled. As the two came together, the opposing 'edges' formed the blades of a circular shear, cutting a neat (and very accurate) hole in the chassis.... ...hence the name ;D ......then someone invented holesaws...

By Jove!!! ...I think you've got it! ;D ...a couple that I have (differing diameters) came to me years ago when I bought the contents of an old TV repairman's workshop in order to get the bits that I REALLY wanted.. ...these things work really well when they're sharp.... ....not so good when they've been abused.. ...if you can find one/some in good condition, they'll do a great job..

Yeah I wish I could find some, but I'm afraid this is just a picture. Just searched "chassis cutter" in Google.

Before you pull the trigger on those puppies, you better make sure that all the controls you're planning on using, not to mention the tube sockets themselves, will fit snugly into one of the four holes that set will make - ½", ¾", 1" & 1¼". You may be in for a surprise..... sumgai

Haha yeah I'm way ahead of you. There various other kinds of punches on that site, and I'm looking at those too.
