Hi!
I currently have a P-94 in the neck of a semi-hollow guitar, and intend to take out the SD JB in the bridge and replace it with another P-94...
I know that the two P-94's can be wired to be hum-canceling, and that the middle setting on a 3-pt switch will be the 2 pups in parallel.
Is there a way to combine the 2 pups in series? Is it worth the trouble? I.e. will it add a diff. sound? Will a dpdt switch do the trick?
Thanks in advance for any info... Jaime G.

series wiring gives you a stronger, more mid-range-heavy sound as it is the sum of the 2 pups. series also is less noisy. i like the sound and it gives an all single coil guitar a little more versatility. if you don't have the new pickup yet, tryt o get one that is reverse wound and reverse polarity if possible. this will make the pickups hum-cancelling in parallel AND in series. a push/pull pot (check stewmac.com, guitarelectronics.com, etc.) would be your best bet so you don't have to change the guitar. here's the diagram you'll need: www.seymourduncan.com/website/support/schematics/singlecoil_series_mod.html

Thanks for the response and for providing the diagram! Looks pretty simple, and will work on it tomorrow.
