Guy's I bought some seymore duncan pickups to change out my epi LP's stock pickups which squeeled at any loud volume. Anyway my old pickups had two wires off of each pickups and the new Seymore Duncans only have 1 wire what's up with that? Any help would be apprecieated.

Are you sure it only has one wire coming off of it? Because it isn't possible to have a pickup with only one wire... Prehaps it is actually multipule wires inside of a single conduit?

Sounds like single conductor. The wire running through the middle is the hot lead. The outside braid gets soldered to ground, usually the back of the pot. You can do the QTB mod (quieting the beast) by soldering a lead wire to the braid so you can star ground.

Star grounding is where all your ground wires come together at one location. Read this article on the GN1 site: Also look at this picture. The bottom one has star grounding. Compare the stock vs modified. Yes, this is a Strat wiring diagram but the same principle applies to a Les Paul.
