i ordered the tweak-o boost pedal kit from small bear electronics (and then proceeded to order better quality - in terms of the capacitor/resistor mojo - components) and i'm wondering... besides the rotary switch to switch between clipping diodes, am i totally nutz to want to wire this straightup point to point instead of using the provided turret board?

Well, I'll never accuse anyone of being "totally nutz" around here . . .
But I don't see the point to doing a point-to-point job on this. After all, it's a distortion box. If there is, in fact, any tonal difference between the two methods (a debatable proposition), you're not likely to hear any difference through a distorted signal. And the board is less likely to cause you fits trying to route all the extra wires so they fit the enclosure.

Tragic Hero,
I have made many pedals now, and I am w/ newey on this one.
That being said, if you want to do it for the sake of doing it, then go for it.
I don't buy into most of the mojo to be honest.
One example being. You don't need an original AC128 to make your fuzz face sound great, you just need any germanium that has the proper hfe....

Nice one, we need pics and soundclips. Did you do the point-to-point thing in the end?
