I am desperately trying to tweak my Crate project amp, and really want to get a better sound out of it so I can work myself up to putting that chassis into a box. With that said, I want to do up the midrange on it as it is kinda super weak. I think the only midrange I am really getting out of it is due to my speakers. I think it is fuzzy, but you get the idea. Any suggestions on how I can up the mid by a bunch? The treble and bass are both very strong in this design, so if it means losing some of either or both of those, I am good.

That tone stack configuration is similar to the classic Fender type, and you can investigate it with the excellent 'Duncans Tone Stack Calculator' www.duncanamps.com/tsc/You can load up different configurations, move sliders to see the response, and also, double-click on components to change the values. The Fender is the nearest, but you'll have to check the values and make them match yours (too fuzzy to read). also the Fender stack in the TSC has a capacitor C2, which yours does not have. So make that one a very high value to get rid of its effect. My prediction: If you change the mid pot to a higher value, youll get all of the range that it currently has, plus more. John
