You may have been unable to access the Board from about 8:30pm EST to 10:00pm EST. An error message was appearing that there were "too many connections to the server. Please try again in 30 seconds". Alternatively, you may have seen an "internal server error" message. This was a ProBoards-wide problem affecting all the boards they host, not just ours. Whatever the issue was, they seem to have now resolved it. Still no explanation from the Proboards support staff, just a lot of "please be patient" posts. The "too many connections" message led me to think it was perhaps a denial of service attack, but what do I know? Anyway, welcome back.

Once again, we were down from about 9:00pm EST to 9:52 EST. ProBoards Admin confirms that this was an "extremely large" DDoS attack ("Distributed Denial of Service"). IOW, someone with too much time on their hands triggered a botnet . . . Please, as always, advise staff if any lingering problems with the site are experienced.

And, we were down again for about 2.5 hrs this morning. This is a continuation of the same DDoS attack from last night.
If your pages are loading slowly today, that's the reason. ProBoards is in full combat mode, and hopefully can get this resolved soon.

Damn, it must be the fender forums attacking us because we deviated form their "vintage" wiring schemetics, and improved them...... and then added 30 switches......
