Boost Pedal that I made for a buddy of mine has some really nice gain characteristics. Sounds great w/ both Si and Ge transistors.... Hope you guys like, Tyler

Now, you knew, of course, that soundclips would be immediately requested! Between Flateric and his cigarette pack graphics and your Cyclops artwork, I'm feeling outgunned. My stompbox project was "blue" . . . Seriously, nice job! Let's hear it!

Newey,
Thanks. This specimen has already made it to it's final owner. That being said, I can see if he will swing by and demo it for me. Or, of course, I have one for myself(as we all know, they all sound slightly different) maybe I should clean the dust off now that finals are done and start playing again....
Did you see the other pics I posted the other week?

Yes I did see them- you've definitely joined the pedal contingent here!

Glad to know it. I think I have something like 13 or 14 under my belt now. Then about 5 more in the works.....
Then I have tons of repair projects that I am working on(From my understanding I am the only person in Fort Wayne that works on pedals....)

Have u thought about putting together a boost with a switch to select either Si or Ge amp stage in same pedal? Can we have a gut-shot next time?

Nice idea flateric!
@gfx-obviously, the artwork is your design. Nice! Are the circuits your design too? I bet it is a nice little niche to be the stompbox guy.

Flat,
Actually that is in store for a Knight Fuzz that I am building.... I need to make some extra cash so I can afford to have a stock of switches ect..... And of course, I can start showing gut shots....
Jcgss,
Oddly enough, the art is not my design. I have a buddy of mine at work do them, and then incorporate that into the cost that I charge my friends(the cost of parts plus $5).
The circuit is based on the beginner project at the DIYStompboxes forum. That being said, I made some changes to the circuit in order to tailor the pedal to the sound that I wanted.
It's a great niche to be the stompbox guy, but I don't have enough time to work on 'em. I don't have enough steady work w/ em to quit my full-time job. Then I'm in college and I have a 14mo old daughter...... I maybe get an hour or two an evening at the very very most. Then with some of these pedals(like the morley oil can delay that I am working on now) I have no idea where to begin. It apparently hasn't worked in over 25 years, and I'm having trouble sourcing parts....

Tyler, ...... like the morley oil can delay that I am working on now) I have no idea where to begin. It apparently hasn't worked in over 25 years, and I'm having trouble sourcing parts.... Just because I like you, I'm gonna do ya a favor: Harmony Central's reviews of the Fender Dimension IV (as made by Tel-Ray) (This is the Google cache version - I couldn't get the real page to load up for me.) The Unofficial Tel-Ray Page They appear to have a repair service, and a Forum. Tel-Ray Oil Can Addicts Forum Also an in-depth forum, list of parts sources, etc. And finally, what you've been looking for: Tel-Ray Schematic (sorry, it's a PDF file, so I can't link it directly) All that from 3 minutes of Google. Well, it probably helped that I knew from way back that the Morley is a re-worked Fender Dimension IV, which was a re-worked Tel-Ray Echo/vibrato unit, from the early 60's..... HTH sumgai
