Hey, I need to get an uninsulated ring terminal for shielding my les paul, about 7/8ths of an inch wide to fit on my 500k pots. I checked home depot, didn't have them at all, and at a local hardware store, but they didn't have any big enough. Where did all of you that did the shielding get your ring terminals? Any online sites? Thanks.

Hey "RollinROCK89i" You can get them insulated or non-insulated. They are almost the same price, the only difference being the non-insulated ones are made of a harder type of metal. Not sure what it is though. The insulated ones that you can buy in a assortment pack will work fine. I just cut the insulation with a pair of cutters lengthwise and you can pull it off with a pair of pliers. They are easier to solder too since they are mostly aluminum. If you have an Electronics Supply where you live (a place where they sell parts to build your own circuit boards etc.) you will find them there too. The only hitch is, they are sold in 25 packs, but that is about the same price as an assortment pack from Lowes, Home Depot, Radio Shack, etc. I checked several places on the net, but could'nt find any in cyberspace.........sorry. If you can't find them where you are............ and you ask real nice.................... I will send you a few to help you out if you want. ;D Just PM me with your address.

I used a washer that was big enough to go around the pot. Used another washer to star ground all the ground wires. I just happened to have some so I figured, why the he** not. When I do my Strat, I'll be getting ring terminals though.
