Can't tell anything because your link is NFG. I tried to fix it but I can't, you'll need to recopy and replace it. That's because the protocol is HTTPS, and not regular HTTP. It just so happens that ProBoards doesn't (can't?) play nicely with HTTPS links, because they use a behind-the-scenes link translator, and it wasn't set up to handle the security stuff. Can't say as I blame them.... after all, where's the benefit in storing an image on a secure server? (Hint: the answer begins with "now", and ends with "here".) Hence, ordinarily folks wouldn't do such a thing. hh, I hate to climb down off my platform-agnostic bandwagon, but here's the drill - you've posted this image on an AppleServer domain, and that automatcially invokes the extra security optionpenalty. Unless you can convince the SysAdmin of that server to 'lower the bar' so outside websites can link to images stored thereon, I'm gonna have to recommend that you re-post the pic on another Image Hosting Service Provider, then link to that site. I'm pretty certain that will solve the issue we're seeing here. And as it happens, I've never before seen the "extra white knob in the center" mod. Before we can help you any further, I think you're gonna have to at least tell us where you found that thing..... HTH sumgai

I'll work on finding a new image hosting server.
I found it online and bought it at a Guitar Center. They put it in the mail today and I should receive it within a week.
The salesperson I spoke to over the phone played with the knob (at my request) and told me the knob didnt change a darn thing about the tone or volume. (i.e. the knob is currently disabled in the circuit)
My thoughts are the previous owner disabled the mod before selling the pedal to GuitarCenter. I would love to re-enable the mod, but first I need to know what the mod was in the first place!!
How would I go about trying to answer this question, besides asking people like yourselves?

Hmmm,
Well, if the price was right, then no one can blame you for picking up on this little goodie! If it sounds right (with the mod removed), you're already ahead of the game. I'd predict that the white knob won't affect any future resale value, or IOW, you can always sell it for what you paid for it, at the very least. Good call on your part. ;D
When the thing finally arrives, you can take it apart and see if there are any wires left dangling. Look for spots where wires were soldered onto other component leads. Even better would be if the previous owner just cut the leads - when you find all the breaks, you should be able to restore the mod.
At worst, from your point of view, the wires went under the circuit board and directly onto the traces. Well, you still should be able to figure out where the solder globs were, but you might find it harder to see exactly which wire went where. A few pictures, close up and sharp, should help us to help you figure that out, if that should be necessary.
Good luck!

They won't respond to emails - you gotta call. Works like a charm.

Turns out its a second gain/drive knob... its REALLY nice! It does a great job of making the gain lower or higher than a normal ts9dx... I can't believe this mod isn't more popular!

What does it do? It's a second gain knob. So if the original gain knob is at a given position (let's say 12 o'clock) then the second gain knob can adjust the gain higher or lower. Also, the gain circuit for the second gain knob is somewhat different, as I get different tones from turning it rather than turning the original gain knob. The second gain knob circuit reminds me somewhat of the sound of a boss blues driver.

Ok. The real question is: How does it accomplish this?
Can you take some well focused photos of both sides of the board or something?
