Humbucker wiring

Ok, here it goes,

with a 4 wire pickup in the bridge position, you can use an on/on/on switch to get series/split/parralell. But i wish to add phasing with another pickup to this one. So do i just put the series/split/parralell swich and then add the phasing one after? Would it sound the same to just add the phasing switch to middle and neck pickups and leave the bridge with series/split/parralell?

John H of this forum says though that the shield wire (he calls it screen) should not be joined with the green (or green equivalent in non duncan pups) and should be taken to the ground wire cluster.

Thank you so much Runewalker, that is precisely what i needed. I have the little blue paper included with the humbucker (seymour duncan) showing wirings I just didn't know if i could combine the two. On this blue paper the shield is always grounded and that makes sense to me so thats the way i'll do it.
