I just bought one of 2 rotary switches last night, for my discrete double barrel strat mod, for this mod i need a DP5T & a DP6T. The only rotary's I could find anywhere locally were DP6T for $2.99 a piece, the only 5way rotary's i've found were 4P5T and were $10 something+ another $12 for shipping. so i'm concidering buying another DP6T and soldering a stop bump after pos, 5 and just cutting the 6th lug off. now my question is can that be done without damaging the complete functionality of the switch?

I wouldn't. Try this. If you can click through the the catalog page for this you'll find that Alpha makes quite a range of these which should cover about anything you'd need. Buy a couple, and get all your caps and diodes and stuff there in one shipment. Shipping isn't that bad, but you might as well make it a little more worth your while.

i'm just gonna go with 2 6's i'll just have 2 bypass's instead of 1. but thanks for that link i'll definately concider it on future mods, but i'm reduced to cash in hand at the momment. So ordering anything is out for me at the momment
