I have a epiphone les paul copy, I am slowly bringing it up to par, I recently bought a pair of 4 conducter duncan pearly gate humbuckers, and push pull pots. I am going for the jimmy page like config, so i can go series/paralell, cut the coals, and phase/out of phase. I have basically taught myself how to solder and etc messing with my guitars, Im not a pro but i can hold my own till I came across this push pull pot, thats tiny, I was just wondering anyone have any tips for me to make it easier? I usually just mount the pots in the guitar and go from there but with this it seems impossible, also i wasnt sure what to do about the ground, I usually just soldered to back of the pot but now i have no back. Any advice or any good links with photos, would be greatly appreciated thanks kenny

use a ring terminal. (read the GN wiring section first)

I did a similar project - just used minis instead of push/pulls, same issue of tininess.
I first tried it by mounting within the control cavity. I kept making mistakes and it was very frustrating. I need some room to work.
So I desided to make a 'bench boad' to wire things up outside of the guitar. When the harness was built then I simply installed the harness.
I traced the outline of the cavity with typing paper, just press lightly around the edges until the control edges crease the paper. Cut out the outine and the traced around the edges on 1/4" foam board (Michaels or hobby places). I cut a rectange around this tracing larger than the outline, then cut some strips of foamboard to form 'legs.' Raised the rectangle high enough to clear the pot posts and toggle when 'installed' on the benchboard. Finally made sure that I drilled holes in exactly the same place as the cavity.
Installed the pots and switches on the foam board and started soldering.
Huge diffeence contributing to the success of the project.
