Hi Everyone,
Been a while since I posted but been busy finishing my degree and all that. Just got back from a great trip to Barcelona and managed to fit in a brief visit to L'Auditori Musem of Musical Instruments.
Luckily you were allowed to take photos so I took some of the more interesting guitars on display for everyone to see who may not get a chance to visit the city.
Unfortunately, I didn't think to take photos of all the accompanying information so it's mostly pretty pictures apart from what I remember unless someone can fill in the gaps. Enjoy!
This one was from a temporary exhibition of Sound Sculptures by Baschet. Reminds me somewhat of the balloon bass readily viewable on youtube.
Not sure about this one.
Crazy 12 String.
Not exactly a guitar but thought the amplifying horns on this cello were interesting.
Here's a selection of acoustics that were on display. Pretty to look at and maybe good project inspiration.
Old flamenco set.
Ukulele sized instruments. I believe the one on the right is made from an armadillo. Maybe don't take literal inspiration from that one!
I've got other pictures of various instruments from the museum so let me know if you'd like to see.
