Were's the "gumbo is a great drummer" switch?
So, after I stopped laughing, I thought, so, what's it sound like?
You really have to put up a demo of this one...

It works on placebo power.

The thing is though, that it isn't guitarists who need this thing - it's bass players! (bah-dum-crash!)
Nothing was harmed in the making of this post, other than maybe an occasional bass player. Move along folks, nothing to see here.

It is indeed interesting that there is no separate control to regulate his "thrust". Some things, apparently, cannot be controlled by a mere pot. ;D ;D

But at least he had the moola to pay the drummer for it!

Seems three guitarists died when the driver of their pickup truck lost control and plunged into a river. They all drowned. Seems none of them could figure out how to lower the tailgate... HTC1

^^^^ Way I heard it, those were IT geeks that couldn't decipher the tailgate's file-open protocol..... Now there's the first point we've agreed on completely in this thread. I do it for a living, I don't live to do it... I do not really consider myself an IT guy. I see myself as more of a glorified millwright enabling the great unwashed to put their respective screws into their respective holes all day with a minimal amount of downtime... For performing this task efficiently I get to see first hand, on a daily basis, how humans, as a species, fly in the face of natural selection. If Darwin were an IT guy he would have written "The Origin of Sh t Happens" HTC1 Closet Luddite

I, like Alan and Denny* above, would like to hear some sound samples, or at least an explanation of what each control does. If the sounds are cool, I'm liable to bug you for the schematic. Excited to hear more. EDIT #1, by sumgai Ahh, ahh, ahh, Ace - no real names on the public forums. * EDIT #2, by who else, sumgai again. An apology is in order. It turns out that I jumped the gun when I made the first EDIT, thinking that asmith was referring to fellow Forum members. No, much to my embarrassment, he was referring to the argumentive friends named Alan Shore and Denny Crane, of the TV show Boston Legal. My apologies to Mr. Smith for being so far behind the times that I don't even have a TV, let alone the time to watch it.

This will give you an idea of the circuit design. It features true passive bypass, the sound modulation and enhancement works by placebo effect, it's an experimental pedal design for our lead guitarist. By diverting the aural senses to visual (the pulsing LED lights, 3 colour) his judgement of the tonal quality is enhanced when the pedal is active without affecting the audience's response to the music. The guitarist actually thinks the sound is better when the pedal is switched on during solos. It will be an interesting field trial at tomorrow nights gig. The placebo effect is surprisingly powerful.

Hahaha. Brilliant. That is the greatest idea I have come across in a long, long time.
