Hi.
My Jackson guitar is humming so loud you can barely hear the strings when I play. A little exagerated maybe but when you are an unskilled electrician like me then you know my frustration.
It seems like I have a grounding problem. If i touch the strings or the volume control knobs the hum gets louder. I also have a loose black wire that runs from the volume control knob but doesn't connect to anything else. Also, the two black wires from the pick ups don't seem to be connected to anything. I tried soldering the loose black wire to one of the unconnected black wires but still no improvement. Still hums. The pick ups still play fine but the humming is unbearable. Can someone help?
