Hi All Changing the biasing cap on my peavey classic 30. ordered the right type, right value and the right voltage(electrolytic, 22uf, 25v). When the caps arrived they were considerably smaller(15 x5 approx) than the one already in there(30 x 10 mm approx).
Does the Phyiscal size of a cap imply anything? does it make a difference, Should I just press ahead and fit the new caps,
As always, all nuggets of wisdom will be warmly received.

tre, Go ahead, stuff 'em in there. Unless they were badly mismarked at the manufacturer's plant, then they'll work just fine. And for the record, no, the size doesn't have a direct bearing the the cap's value. That's because of advances in technology and all that jazz. Used to be somewhat true, but not any more. HTH sumgai
