When someone says, "flanger" what color comes to mind? Seems there are a few pink ones...
There is reason behind this, i'm not completely insane.

The first thing that came to mind was purple and black. Does that mean I'm the one who's insane?

It's dark at my desk at work, but you get the idea:

Well, I was in town early this AM and forgot to go to the store to pick up paint. I was debating on purple or pink (or both). Well, a look through the closet, this krylon blue was the lesser of all evils. Oh, I put about 7 hours into the build so far. The PCB is complete and now is waiting paint to dry and final assembly.

And it's all together and sounds like a flanger. I can turn all the knobs up and make it squeal, turn most them down for a chorus like sound, or a deep 20 second sweep if I fiddle with the knobs more. I should have painted the housing earlier, as I scratched it a lot. However, I've given up making things look pretty a long time ago. Other than shorting 2 of the jacks when I was snugging them down, I had no issues with this build. Follow the instructions, take your time. It's pretty straight forward. It took about 10 hours beginning to end. I think i might invest in their TS-808 ad DS-1 clones so i can get my signal sucking ones out of the chain.

The blue looks pretty good to me. Is that a Bogen mixer in the second pic you posted?

Nice looking pedal. I have a thing for flangers, myself. Never built one, but I run an old DOD FX70 and a Boss BF-3. Stick them on both sides of a chorus pedal and interesting things ensue.
From the BYOC description this looks like a pretty versatile flanger. Looking forward to the sound samples.
Happy Trails

It'll be a few days before I can get an audio uploaded. I gotta find the sweet spots first.
and the mixer says "Shure Microphone Mixer"
the bottom says "shure microphone mixer model M68" among other things. No date code though.
It was old stock i got from my father. He deals with TV stuff in his line of work.

What's silver and purple? EH Flanger Hoax?
guy's i'm having a very hard time making a real recording. I can't get anything other than a thin tone and sloppy playing. One of the fells I jam with has a red-necked studio in his house, i'll hit record next time i'm over.
