This thought has always intrigued me in my search for versatility in my main ax, the 7-string Schecter. As of now, I have an HSH pup configuration, with coil cuts, a Floyd with a Tremconverter, and a traditional Vol-Tone-5way.
I've seen acoustic piezos... they're just strips to go under the bridge! Is it possible to install piezoelectric capability into a Floyd Rose? That would make for the ultimate (in my opinion) in cross-guitar versatility.

Dunno if this is quite what you mean, but it might be close: the Graph Tech GHOST™ Pickup System www.graphtech.com/prodghost.htm-- Doug C.

It's certainly a start. If piezos can be installed in Strat saddles, I'm sure there's a way for them to be machined into a Floyd system somewhere. Any ideas, peoples?

The GraphTech GHOST System is your best bet for a ton of reasons. Call them and ask to talk to Leah. He's their main Tech and Product Developer. He'll give you the skinny on everything. Not only that, but you can ring in MIDI for very little additional work. It's absolutely amazing. Chesh

Have you looked at Fishman? Try looking at this site: www.fishman.com/products/electric-guitar-products.asp I'm not sure how they stack up against GraphTech in terms of quality or price, but they definately do seem to make pickups for tremolo bridges. I'm not sure about floyd rose, but they have a pickup made to replace a wilkinson. I'd suggest just having a look around on the site there.
