I'm converting some concentric pots on a stomp box project to two conventional pots to make them easier to use - am I right in thinking the inner shaft operates the lower (furthest from the shaft) casing on the pot and the outer shaft the upper (nearest the shaft) set? Cheers, Buzz.

Looking at it another way... Try figuring out how to make the front pot work with the inner knob.. Unless you can turn reality inside out!

Well, buzzy said it was a "quick question", seemed as if a quick answer was appropriate . . .

...could maybe devise a system of miniature gears to drive the top pot from the inner shaft with a sensor which controls a tiny stepper motor to turn the lower pot the opposite way, then wire the pots to cancel each other out so it has no effect on the circuit at all..?
I've gone too far haven't I :s

I've gone too far haven't I :s Well, first off, there's no such thing as "too far" here in The NutzHouse! And FWIW, you're only the second Nutz-newbie to post so outlandish a statement that I was unable to avoid making it my new sig. Both of these combine to earn you a +1 - but don't spend it all in one place, eh? ;D ;D sumgai

Cool I've never been someone's sig before - I feel special now! Naw, that ain't special. Special is when you learn how to count on your fingers up to 132 - in binary!
