How do you check it out ? You pack your rig into your vehicle and motor on down I-77 for an hour until you hit newey's basement! That's where you'll find ace troubleshooter asmith, who won't be there much longer, so you'd best get a move on! ;D Seriously, read this thread for some inspiration instructions first: Brain Scanning Through a NostrilObviously you'll be "adding" more measurement points as you flip the switches, but the basic idea is there, and that's where you want to start out. Your system breaks down nicely into modules, so you would start by knowing the resistance of each pickup coil, then split off the modeul at the left and test all its settings between pink and blue wires with nothing connected downstream, do the same for the middel module, then hook togthere and test the right module.
It will be important to know what values to expect given the individual coil values, so a bit of ohms law for series and parallel is required.

Is there a way to probe this to make sure I have good solder points with a multimeter. Or do I have to wait untill I solder the mini toggles, and humbuckers? What you see in the pictures is just a clear template pickguard I used to wire the pots and rotary. The Humbuckers and mini toggles are in the main pickguard. I guess I will go ahead and wire, solder the mini toggles and humbuckers, move the pots over and connect everything together and then test it correct? Sumgai and John H thanks! Newey is leaving GH2? PS. Good thread I was directed to. TY.

Rumors of my departure are greatly exaggerated.

You won't be able to check continuity through the caps because they block the DC voltage that your meter uses to test such things. If your meter does capacitance you could check that, else the best you can really hope for is to confirm that you haven't shorted anything you didn't mean to.

@ ashcatlt, Well that is unsettling news for a newbie with a soldering iron... Thanks for the info as I was driving myself crazy trying to check my connection. I did find that my volume pot still reads with a treble bleed on it. I am in the phase of preparing wire(Cutting & Tinning) for the mini toggle phase of the project. This is going to be an eye squencher! I have to say, I am enjoying building as much as playing.
