Hey everyone. I have a Yngwie Malmsteen Strat. I have removed the middle pickup and both tone controls to make room for my guitar synth. Anyways if anyone can provide me a wiring diagram for the following setup that would be great. I need a hookup diagram for
2 Humbucker HS-3 with 1 volume, no tones, and 3 way selector. Thanks in advance.

seems like you just want a tele arrangement, omitting the tone control.
what is the pickup switch in that model? standard 5way? 5way superswitch?
also, do you have connections to the separate windings on the HBs?

it's a 3 way blade style switch. The standard fender.
I need to hook the following.
2 HS-3 (Dimarzio) to 1 volume and no tones with a 3 way selector strat blade switch.

hmmmm? standard 3 way STRAT switch? i thought the strat switch was a 5 way. (3 throws, 2 shorting position). maybe we mean the same thing, but we're just saying it differently. if your switch has 5 positions that it stops in, and looks like the one in the drawing at the bottom of this page: then i have a good idea for you. we can use all 5 positions in an interesting combination: - 1 - bridge HB
- 2 - bridge HB + neck HB
- 3 - neck HB
- 4 - one coil of bridge + neck HB
- 5 - one coil of bridge
if you confirm that is does have 5 positions, and you like the above combinations, i'll provide the necessary instructions _________________________________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________________________________ of course if it only has 3 positions, then you would have: - 1 - neck
- 2 - neck + bridge
- 3 - bridge
for a 3 position switch use this drawing as a starting point: www.seymourduncan.com/support/schematics/std_tele.htmland make the following changes: - omit the tone pot, capacitor, and the black wire from the tone pot to the volume
- have the black and white wires of each pup connected together but not to anything else (they should already be this way)
- where the the drawing calls for a white wire, you'll connect your red.
- where the drawing calls for a black wire, you'll connect your green.
Oh, BTW i almost forgot. Welcome to Guitarnuts2. U.M.
