The post title says it all. my electronics are screwed, i tried to re-do them but i'm lazy. gonna but one of those pre-wire EMG 81's, but in the meantime.
can i wire my humbucker right to my input jack bypassing the tone volume selector etc?
i have two wires coming from my humbucker.
would this be dangerous?
it;s grounded to the srping on the bridge i think?

Yes, but it will probably be a lot brighter than it would with the controls installed. With EMGs, you DON'T ground the strings/bridge. I'm assuming you know how to connect the battery. The white wire connects to the hot side of the jack, and the shielding around it connects to the ground lug. If you need instructions with pictures, go to www.emginc.com. They have installation instructions online.

It can be done and I have done this myself at one time or another. Just make sure that if it is one of those chrome covered grounded humbuckers you wire the ground to the input jack ground and the "hot" connection to the proper place on the jack. If not, when you touch the chrome humbucker you will hear a loud buzz coming out of your amp because that chrome cover is incorrectly wired to the "hot" lead of the jack.
