Swingarm-
First of, I see that you have posted several times but have not yet been officially welcomed:
Hello and Welcome to G-Nutz2!
When it comes to recreating old tube amp designs, the "Gibson camp", like Mac users, are in a distinct minority. The web abounds with vintage Fender designs, but I bet you have to do some digging to work up a Gibby project. I assume the OD circuit is one of the mods here? (I'm unfamiliar with the original amp design you were working from).
Anyway, anyone doing amp builds gets kudos from me, as it's way beyond anything I could attempt.
We will expect periodic updates on your project, and perhaps some sound samples when it's done!

Hey thanks for the welcome newey! I joined this forum because I came acreoss the s-tastic mod for my fernandes strat. I can't play very well but I'm learning. I'm actually a drummer and have in my inventory several amps that worthy players can use beside my drums . I've built several amps including 18 watts (2) a 50 watt Laney clone , a hiwatt Bulldog clone, a jcm 800 clone. and my current projects include a 59 bassman clone, a "standard" from tut 5 that I bought half completed on ebay for a song, a hotbox pedal and a tube screamer from tut 5 (I bought the book after i bought the standard amp from ebay). So yeah lots of projects for the winter. The gibson was not working and had a real nightmare layout and decided to gut it. I then upgraded the output transformer in the gibson to a thorderson from the 1961 Fanon-Masco PA head that I'm using as the donor amp for the 59 bassman clone. I then used a marshall jcm 900 output in the Masco/59 bassman head. The thorderson transformer is made with M-6 laminations and have spectacular low end for such a small transformer. I'm really looking forward to getting this amp done. It has reverb and tremolo and two channels lead/clean. The gibson amp says gibson on it but really other than the reverb tank, reverb transformer and cabinate and chassis its totally not a Gibson. I thought I might run one el84 and one octal in this amp. but may go for two octals. They both will be individually biased with a 25kb pot for each tube so i can use one 6l6 or kt66 and one 6v6 in the other socket etc. I replaced the speaker with a Reverend Alltone 1250. I will update my progress. Thanks for your interest. Here is an ebay pis of the standard thats in the mail right now. So exciting! Also here is a link to a guys site that built this amp. www.fydamps.com/photo.html here is the ebay auction I won www.ebay.com/itm/221549038507?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
