Hi, is there any reason a 4 way wiring for a tele would not work given the following.
1. Bridge pickup is standard type with RWRP -bottom plate is ground separately from the wind terminals
2. Neck pickup has a cover and is standard wind and would produce hum canceling in the in-between position. The cover is also a separate ground independent from the wind terminals.
So I should be able to proceed with a 4 way switch
Br split / series Neck Split/ parallel
The guitar is working fine with a standard three way switch and the two pup grounds are taken to the pot bodies.
Thanks A

angelodp-
Welcome Back!
First, I'm not clear on what you mean by "split/series" and "split/parallel". Are we talking about N * Br and N + Br?
And- are you wedded to the order of the switching?

Hi Newey, good to hear from you… been building amps for a while.
ok
Bridge
Bridge/Neck series
Neck
Bridge/ Neck parallel
Would be good to keep it as the usual tele but tack the series setup at the top or bottom?? Need to get my young player to make up his mind on that config.

sg didn't give us a truth table with that, but explains it longhand in the text. He's got it going B, B*N, B+N, N. The order is kind of arbitrary though, just a matter of swapping the appropriate lugs on both sides of the switch.
