Tone query

Hi guys,
Not sure if this is the right place to post it on, but I was wondering how might I be able to achieve a kind of tight, mid honky tone, much like this one. I have a Boss GT-100. I've had a look at it through a spectrum analyser and found peaks around 837Hz and I've tried boosting around that area, but it still sound pretty weak. Any Help would be much appreciated guys. [/a]

While you might be able to get some advice from folks around here with better ears than I with a little time, I would highly recommend making a post over at the VGuitar forums, as they have a couple threads dedicated specifically to the GT-100. Just scroll down on there, it's about the 7th main section down. If you reach the Boss SY-300 Synth, you've gone too far   EDIT: I think my new link will take you right to the page with GT-100 threads right at the top of the screen!

There you should be able to find a lot more folks familiar with the capabilities/tones of your equipment. And while you wait for a response, grab a sixer for the weekend and try tracking down the settings on your own, you might find something you like a little more in the process! (I can see how that last sentence might come off a bit derogatory, but please rest assured that the best intentions are there) Good luck!
