Brand Newbie to the site here, just wanted to say Hello!
Looks like this board is full of good information!
I will be posting up pictures of my Ibanez RG120 project soon.

Boys and Girls,
Fiddler is known to me, and to the State of California to contain hazardous materials that may cause harm to one's sanity. Be warned advised.
That is all.

Thanks greekdude. I am initially just going to clean her up, replace the nut and fresh strings and setup. I posted the project over in the Guitars section.

fiddler,
g-f-b means 'gum for brains', which refers to our leading thread derailer, a feller by the name o' gumbo. Truly he can take any thread known to man and send it off to the moon, so experienced is he. He tells us it's a fine art, but we all know better.... HTH

Gotta admit, that's the first time I've ever seen gumbo take a flyer. And after all that build-up by b4nj0 about being a secret weapon, too.
Check back later, indeed!

Nah. Since the the subject of this thread turned to an expected derailment by gumbo, but he then 'declined to derail', I think this is just a more subtle derailment by gumbo. Sneaky bastard.

col,
I think you're on to something there..... OTOH, derailing a current derailment is no problem for our favorite Derailer Laureate, so I do have high hopes.

I see it and it's neat GD.
But on my "smart" 'phone, I had to copy and paste it into an email to "get" it.
The "at" symbol is a nut!

Right click -> 'select all' yup, or left button pressed and drag down.

Now that was interesting....
I did that col, but only in fiddler's first 'squirrel' post - I didn't think to do the whole page. Sure enough, it shows up for greekdude's follow-up posting, but not in fiddler's.
Using the quoting feature, one can see everything that was written in the quoted post, if one selects the BBCode tab at the bottom of the Reply textarea. I can also do other things, as an Admin, but for the life of me, fiddler's contribution is completely devoid of any ASCII characters, nor is there any code that might hide them from 'normal' view, such as making the text color the same as the background color... it just ain't there, at least not on my screen. The rest of the thread, it's easy to spot everything similar, the coding is all present and accounted for.
I attribute this abnormality to ProBooards. Lowered knows they've pulled some mighty strange stunts in the past, why not blame them for this too?

sumgai SG, I don't think that fiddler did post anything "hackerish" in the first place.

gd,
You may be right, perhaps he was merely seeing who he could send on a wild goose chase. He was just here, I should've thought to ask him about this. Not that it makes any difference, but I am curious...
