EDIT: Entire thread moved by sumgai to the Suggestions Forum, 9/5/16
Recently I was searching the internet for ideas on how to re-use stock strat parts into something more adventurous. As there is not something that exists out there, would it be possible to have something on here. I've seen some belting schemes on here and elsewhere but it takes a whole lot of collating and it is easy to get side-tracked and lose interest. I was especially wanting to work with a stock eight-terminal strat 5-way and three pots. Is it possible to collect a selection of these into a single thread for ease of finding. It may help also to bring new members to your fantastic data and knowledge base (through them searching on google) and wouldn't necessarily have to only be a strat type thread at all, I'm sure it could accomodate 2 and 3 pickup teles as well a other S-types such as Burns, Yamaha Pacifica, Ibanez etc. I would like a thread about the various ways to wire up the standard 5-way blade as it really makes my head spin to combine the twin poles with whatever pickups a modder may have already without having to wait for a new parts delivery. In short a selection of all the different ways to use a standard switch in various new and exciting ways. A similar thread could be about a standard Gibson style 2 humbuckers and 3-way switch as many players would have access to those types also. I didn't know which forum sub genre to post this so if in wrong place please feel free to move this query. Thanks for your time. (Feel free also to condense my ramblings as you see fit).

Sorry, numpty but I did indeed have to move this out of the OEM schematics section. I put it here in the coffee shop for further discussion.
We don't have one particular place for diagrams which just use stock parts, such schemes are scattered throughout. I'll post some links here to several of the more popular strategies with stock parts when I have some more time.

Thank you Newey. I have occasionally collected some on my Pinterest page and found quite a few from these very pages, I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I have a few old strat scratchplates from standard Squier type guitars and wish to experiment. I recently re-wired one to Dan Armstrong design (not the three switch super-strat) and am quite impressed with it so far. I have plans for a design from one of these threads very soon also.

The one scheme that comes to my mind using nothing but std. Strat parts is ChrisK's "Free neck on" scheme. This uses one tone pot(at 10) to turn the neck pickup "on" in conjunction with what is selected on the 5-way. If you page down, Chris also includes diagrams for several common Strat mods using stock parts, including switching the second tone pot to the bridge, and a set-up for dual tone caps. One pot can also be used to fade the neck(or bridge) in/out. guitarnuts2.proboards.com/thread/3764/free-neck-on-switchAs far as interesting uses of the std. 5-way switch, there is Deaf Eddie's scheme discussed here: guitarnuts2.proboards.com/thread/3761/hb-tele-std-strat-switchAs originally drawn, this is for a Tele with a HB and SC, but it will work for a 3 SC Strat style guitar as well. It is a way to get some series sounds out of a standard 5-way switch. Numpty, I invite you to start a thread- it can go into the general guitar schematics area- on the topic of modifying wiring using only stock parts. The above two would be our first inclusions.
