I have almost completed a double neck strat project and am at the stage of wiring it up. I have searched the interwebz pretty carefully and have not been able to turn up a wiring diagram for this guitar. 200 or so were built in the 90's by Fender japan. Ive seen a couple of vids with Mr Malmsteen using his but only playing the 6 string. The two necks apparently are controlled by a blend pot below the bridge of the top neck [12 string]. I am resigned at this point to use a 3pdt switch to rout either 12 or 6 string direct to the standard strat controls. Perhaps a super switch was used who knows but I cant for the life of me figure out how it would work. Yep it is a mad project for sure. It is a big and quite heavy guitar which uses Dimarzio Area 58's in the bridge positions and Area 61's in the other 4 slots. If any one has access to the original wiring diagram or has any suggestions as to how it should be wired your contribution would be greatly appreciated.

oldpicker-
Hello and Welcome to G-Nutz2!
Are we sure the 12-string pot isn't a later addition? It seems a bit odd, it would imply that you'd never be able to turn off either neck completely.
I have no clue what the original wiring would be. What type of switch is in there now? I can visualize it much easier with a superswitch- if it doesn't have one, I'm having trouble visualizing how the tone pots would be wired into the circuit.

Another thought. Does it have a stereo (i.e., TRS) output jack?
