Just wondering if anyone has used a tone bypass, like on this Torres Engineering hookup: www.torresengineering.com/ourblueslesp.html" . . . a real favorite of players everywhere!" Uh, okay. So, is it useful, and for any particular musical style or whatever? -- Doug C.

i may be wrong (wouldn't be the first time!), but i think that "tone bypass" is just a switched disconnect of the tone controls.

What I was getting at was, if I have no tone controls, will my audience be (a) less likely or (b) more likely to cover their ears? (Or maybe it doesn't matter, if they're all pretty much plastered anyway.) Now, not having a volume control could be useful for certain venues . . . ;D

more likely (esp in bridge only - I.P.I.T.E mode). so what you get is the ability to completely disconnect the tone cut (same as 10 with a no-load pot) by pulling the p-p pot vs turning it to 10. maybe of use to some, but there's probably a better use of the switch on a p-p. ...Now, not having a volume control could be useful for certain venues . . . ;D or for certain players. a few months back i heard a guitarist i wish played without a volume control. (by that i don't mean = 10, i mean =0) but that's another story altogether.

Ohhh, yeah. (Just caught on to the abbreviation.) Okay, that's the info I was looking for. (I was wondering who are all those people whose "favorite" it is, and are any of them rich and famous?) Now that you put it like that, even I can think of better uses for the p-p part. {SNIP} %< %< %< "Oh, dang; a cut in your output cable. Three of 'em, actually." And why am I sitting here beating on this computer instead of practicing for tonight's class?
