I must have been sleeping because this has been out a while and I just stumbled across it today. Here's a demonstration of it, in use (great choice of performers and cover song, imho)

So what does this Magilla do? Apparently you use your own pickup, either magnetic or piezo, and plug it into the little box which attaches to the back of your acoustic guitar.

Very modest at best "amplification" but the effects processor is the claim to fame here.
Pickup --> Battery powered amp with effects processor / Surface Transducer --> Back of guitar.

Apparently it costs about two fitty.

Does this mean that I don't have to feel ashamed any more that I already knew that nearly every one of their endorsing artists can be found at Candy Rat Records?

This is indeed quite the gizmo. Too bad I don't have an acoustic to experiment with... I'll just have to wait for one or more reviews from fellow Nutz.
