We have all learned a lot more about guitar wiring since then, but I think the information posted is generally still good. Four conductor wiringTo access all of the wiring possibilities with humbucking pickups, you need to have connections to each end of each coil. This describes the conversion of open-coil and covered humbuckers to four conductors plus screen.
