This page is still under construction. The Original Fender Tele Esquire Here's the wiring of the original Fender Tele Esquire. 1. Volume Pot - No Tone Pot 2. Standard Volume & Tone Pots 3. Volume Pot & Fixed Tone The Original Fender Tele Esquire with 3-Way Toggle Switch Here's the wiring of the original Fender Tele Esquire switching, but with a 3-way toggle switch. This requires a 4PDT On-On-On toggle switch like the one DiMarzio sells. 1. Volume Pot - No Tone Pot 2. Standard Volume & Tone Pots 3. Volume Pot & Fixed Tone Tele Esquire - Eldred Mod Here's the wiring of what is commonly called the Eldred Mod Tele Esquire. The original Fender bassy fixed tone position is modified so that there is only one cap to ground. Typically, that cap is .0047uF, but some people prefer .0033uF or some other value. 3-Way Switching: 1. Volume Pot - No Tone Pot 2. Standard Volume & Tone Pots 3. It's essentially the same as the Eldred Mod, but with a smaller value cap for the tone pot. The full value of the volume pot is still connected to the pickup, but the wiper is disconnected. Not quite the same thing as the pickup straight to the output jack, but close. 3-Way Switching: 1.
