( EDIT: The original post to which this response pertains can now be found below, in Reply #5. And a different method of achieving these goals can be found here: Dummy Coil Experiment - Successful) rp- Hello and Welcome to G-Nutz2!This is an interesting idea, and your schematics are things of beauty, but I'm having a bit of trouble deciphering your symbols. I assume the 5 diagrams are meant to represent the 5 switch positions, with "1" at the upper right and "5" at the lower left? And, do the circles represent the individual pickup coils? (Some added labelling might help)

I do not want to flood the forum. Rookie mistake... Hi rogerioprazeresSoftware for some other forum systems makes the thread collapse when the Original Post is deleted. ProBoards software doesn't work that way. If anyone else has posted in a thread, the thread remains intact even if the OP is deleted. A regular member can delete their own posts but they can not delete a thread if it contains posts by other members. Only a Staff member can delete such a thread. If you would like me to delete this thread, I will do that for you. In the future, don't worry about deleting a thread if you discover there is already a similar thread. It isn't a big problem.

!'m sorry! I'm trying to delete this thread cause I figure out that it is all already covered in the Dummy coils fixed thread. I do not want to flood the forum. Rookie mistake... I'd rather you left it here, intact. Please re-post your diagram again, with the added explanations like you provided for newey. The reason is, some folks think differently, and some need to look at problems in different ways in order to understand them, and to devise solutions. Of course, that means that more than one solution is likely to appear, and indeed, we're now back at the beginning. I had intended to let you flesh this out, with the commentary from the readers, and then Sticky it as well, right below the other thread on this topic. Then, I'd cross link the two threads so that each references the other, and viewers can get the full benefit of both discussions. And BTW, Hi, and to The NutzHouse! sumgai

Thanks for re-posting that, rogerio!. We'd prefer some duplication to losing the sense of a given thread, and often a second explanation will trigger someone to have one of those "A-Ha!" moments when the first explanation perhaps wasn't getting through to the person. And your English is fine, no worries.
