Happy Saturday Night Guys, Here’s another tip that I discovered today. I just got back from shopping at Walmart and picked up something very beneficial for soldering. I found this 4” table top all-metal fan that is quite well made and moves the smoke out of your face. It would be helpful for any solder composition as you solder your harnesses. You will need a 5 volt USB adapter. Here’s the deal, the fan only cost $8 USD!!😸. You can find them in the business supply aisle. Anyway, I thought I’d pass it along for those who want to keep the fumes out of their body. And it will fit nicely on any bench.

Yep...better than nothing, for sure..in fact, got one of them sitting next to the Financial Controller's computer for the Long Hot Summers... ...but if you get to think that your lungs could be worth more than 8 bucks, one of THESE is one hell of a lot better....it drags all the greeblies (Oz word) away from you, and through a filter before it blows them around the room...and a version is available that comes with a flexible duct on the back to stick out of the window.. One of these has been on my bench for at least the last ten years and is still going strong...and replacement filter pads are cheap on FleaBay... www.ebay.com/itm/Solder-Soldering-Smoke-Absorber-Remover-Fume-Extractor-Filter-Fan-2M-Air/402801621172...just saying, 'coz MY lungs are older than most of the others here, and I see no reason to relinquish that feat... HTH someone... Peter
