Dear Friends, This is my first post on the Forum. I have a 2016 American Elite Strat, it came with s1 switching and n4 noiseless pickups. I recently purchased the Mojotone 58 quite coils pickups since they had more of the Fender Chime and also upgrading to 500k Pots as suggested by Mojotone. I wanted to figure out how to wire these pickups on my Strat while using the s1 switch. Since I have very little knowledge about guitar wiring therefore any help will be aprreciated greatly. I have attached the wiring scheme I came up with of the guitar as well as the wiring for the "NECK ON MOD" and Mojotone's Stock wiring. I have also drawn a green 470pf Treble bleed cap on the volume pot as mojotone recommends. And the Push-Pull Pot on the 1st Tone pot. The Fender guitar came stock with a 470k resistor on the super-switch and a 0.22uf cap on the 2nd tone knob.1)Mojotone wiring diagram shows 0.22uf cap on the first tone knob, will this affect anything?2)Also the Mojotone FAQ says "We do NOT recommend using a resistor in series or parallel with the capacitor as it can reduce the output of the pickups slightly. See our wiring diagram"I am unsure if the stock wiring from Fender with the 470k Resistor on the super switch is in series or parallel with the capacitor on the volume knob.I wanted to use the push-pull pot to engage the neck pickup in any position. )Mojotone wiring diagram shows 0.22uf cap on the first tone knob, will this affect anything? Nope. The tone cap is connected to ground, and the two tone pots are wired together. Where the cap gets soldered to ground is irrelevant, the two wirings here are electrically equivalent. The Fender resistor is in parallel with the volume pot, but that is part of the S-1 switching. Hard to tell from the diagram what it's doing (since the S-1 switch connections are not labeled), but it's not active at all times, just in positions 4 and 5 with the S-1 switch engaged. This isn't what Mojotone is talking about. Their 470pf cap is a "treble bleed" circuit, designed to retain treble as the volume control is rolled down, and some other treble bleed designs incorporate a resistor as well as a cap to do this. Mojotone apparently doesn't want you using one of those other designs with these pickups. If you like the way the S-1 options sound now, I'd say leave that wiring as is. Your "neck On" wiring looks fine, although take that with a grain of salt as I'm having trouble tracing out all the connections, too many white wires. Let's get a second opinion to be sure. Your revised diagram doesn't use the Mojotone wire colors, but the black are all grounds as with the Fender pickups, so the white ones just go where the Fender "hot" wires went (the white, blue and red wires from the Fender diagram are all white now, that is).

Thanks Newey, for your detailed explanation. Yes you are right, the series parallel is active with S1 switch only in Bridge and Bridge and Middle positions.
I learnt something new today about Treble bleed circuits.

Awaiting a second opinion on the 'neck on mod'

Yes you are right, the series parallel is active with S1 switch only in Bridge and Bridge and Middle positions Then my numbering is bass-akwards, should be #1 and #2.
